DEBUNKING FAITH (ft Rosaline Heaven Alpha)

This past Friday I was asked to preach on “The Word” but I honestly didn’t think I was fit considering the other people I was to do it with, I literally didn’t prepare anything. Just a few minutes to time after my prayers the Holy Spirit directed me to speak on faith, so I thought I should share what I learned too.

Faith vs Belief

Faith and belief are two different things. Honestly, I was struggling with faith for some while but I had belief. Faith is a seed, faith is not something you can decide on nor is it something you can choose to have or not have.

Faith existed even before you were born. Some of us see faith as a choice or an option but it isn’t. If you read about faith in the bible you rarely see where you are given an option to have faith today and not have it tomorrow. You can’t jiggle with faith. Faith is a necessity and it is the connection between you and GOD. Many of us mistake believing for faith. Believing is a choice, you can decide to believe something or not to believe

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Faith is an assurance (certainty) it’s not a may or may not

Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 

We see in this chapter that GOD is giving us a choice. We can choose to believe or not believe. However, when we believe there is a benefit attached. so when it comes to believe we do have a choice.

Faith is a necessity and it is the connection between you and GOD.

Faith is a Seed!

Now back to faith as a seed! Faith is a seed because when we receive faith from GOD we activate the seed. The seed of faith just like any other seed needs to be nurtured, cared for, groomed, and watered.

[Matthew 17:20]   And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Here we see Jesus Christ referring to faith as a mustard seed, HE could have used any other seed but a mustard seed though it’s little yet it produces one of the biggest trees, when you take care if it and groom it well

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Even salvation comes through faith, as faith is also a gift from GOD. Now Faith is the “Can” of GOD and belief is the “will see” of GOD. Faith walks with believing but faith can stand alone. You can believe without faith but can’t have faith without belief. Faith has no doubt, unbelieve, nor uncertainty. You can believe GOD can do something but still doubt HIM. When we are growing our faith we need to remove all the weed of doubt out of our hearts and life or else it will hinder the growth of our faith.

Now Faith is the “Can” of GOD and belief is the “will see” of GOD.

Believing is not faith. When we have faith in GOD, believing just becomes the icing on the cake. Believing is more about ourselves like when we have Faith in GOD we need to believe in ourselves too that yes GOD can use a person like me. We need to search ourselves whether we believe or we have faith. It is really a long and broad topic! we can’t finish it today but these are times we have to relax and build our relationship with GOD. Then we may understand the reason why maybe we are not receiving answers, not hearing GOD, and not getting things. It all revolves around our faith.

If you think you have faith that is awesome! But if you feel you believe but you do not have faith it’s time you act on it, speak to GOD about it, ask for a renewal of your faith and strength in your faith.
These past days I have been seeking to groom my faith as we are all not perfect and the more we think we stand the greater risk we are at falling. This season the devil is really shaking the faith of GOD’s children which is why we need to speak life into our faith and which has been my prayer for us all.

To everyone who is supposed to do their final exams and to those who are doing their online classes or whichever, have faith. I was praying two days ago and I heard the word matrix and I was ah where is this from and I remember sis Nandi has spoken of it several times, so today I was looking through my bookmarked bible verse and saw James 1:5.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him.

I pray that God provides wisdom to us all as we seek faith all these things shall come to pass
