TOP 10 BEST GOSPEL SONGS THAT SHOULD BE ON YOUR PLAYLIST

Today I am going to share the 10 best gospel songs on my playlist. But first, how many of us wish our lecture notes were songs? It’s still a mystery how I can easily remember lyrics of songs but find it so difficult to remember my lecture notes. This just resounds the fact that music is powerful. The right type of song can change your mood and situation.

As Christians regardless of your denomination, we all agree that music plays a vital role in our worship. Although worship is not just music, music is very much part of our worship. Throughout scripture, especially the book of Psalms, we see the writer encouraging us to sing, dance, and make music to our God.

 "Sing to the LORD a new song,
 for he has done marvellous things;
his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.
The LORD has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to the house of Israel;
all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;
make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing,
with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn--
shout for joy before the LORD, the King.
Let the sea resound, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it.
Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy;
 Let them sing before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.

Now that technology has advanced, we have access to thousands of spirit-filled songs from all over the world. In this post, I share with you my all-time favourites-Top 10 gospel songs that should be in your playlist, let’s dive in.

best gospel songs

1.More than a song by Dunsin Oyekan

Dunsin Oyekan is one of my favourite gospel ministers from Nigeria. This particular song is a heart cry. He emphasizes the fact that worship is more than a song. We ourselves are living sacrifices offered to God. We are the worship of the father.

2. Heart of worship by Matt Redman

This song never gets old. Just like the first song, this also is a reminder that worship is not just in the music we make. Sometimes we tend to forget this fact so it’s very necessary to go back to the heart of worship.

3.You are here by Dr Tumi

life can get tough and it seems all hope is lost.No matter the pain, hurt, or even the challenges we face we are never alone. we need God every day and He is true, and His promises remain so we trust Him

4. Trust in You by Lauren Daigle

Will you still trust God when it seems like your prayers are not being answered? Sometimes it feels like God is not listening but The Bible made us understand that God is a good Father and His ears are not deaf to our cry. Keep trusting!

5.Yeshua Hamashiach by Nathaniel Bassey

This song gives me chills☺. The power in the name of Jesus is indescribable.

6. You Say by Lauren Daigle

So many noises in today’s world that we don’t hear God’s voice clearly. A lot of us battle with self-esteem and we keep measuring our worth base on the number of likes and followers we have on social media. Our real worth is in God. It’s what He says versus what society says. In the end, it’s what God says about you that really matters. May the Holy Spirit open our eyes to see ourselves the way the Father sees us.

7.Way Maker by Sinach

Feeling down and discouraged? Encourage yourself with this song. God is the way maker, miracle worker, and promise keeper.

8.Changed by Geofrey Golden

I had this song on repeat for seven days straight😂. Sometimes the devil tries to remind us of our past but what he fails to realize is that we have been changed.

9. Too Faithfull by Moses Bliss

yoohoo! This song gives me goosebumps. Abba is too faithful to fail us. It’s not in His nature to fail. This song is just reechoing this fact.

10. Na you dey Reign by Mercy Chinwo

Put on your dancing shoes💃this song is a hit. It was released recently and it’s my jamb. This praise song is a reminder that our God is king and He reigns forever. Mercy Chinwo is a minister from Nigeria and her songs are spirit-filled. This particular song is very danceable😄

There are more gospel songs out there. This is just my top 10 favourite as of now. I pray you be blessed as you listen to these songs.
