And having both is a blessing” This made me realize how blessed I am to be part of a family. If you may be wondering what a family is, here is a definition I love

Meaning Of Family:

“Family is a group of people who love unconditionally, respect and celebrates each other’s differences, care for the needs of one another. Family is where you feel at home. Regardless of their differences, misunderstandings or any challenging issues, they have each other’s back no matter what.

Indeed no family is perfect! We get on each other’s nerves, we argue and sometimes we misunderstand each other. Regardless of our differences, we have a common bond we all share with our families.

Family is God’s design. It’s where you are fed and groomed. The devil knows the value and role families play in any society thus he works tirelessly to divide families. This is why prayer for families is very important and as believers, we must endeavour to pray for every family.

Let us pray

Dear Father

Thank you for giving us families we can call our own. We Thank you for watching over us and protecting us from the evil one. Thank you for your peace which surpasses all understanding that is dwelling in our hearts and minds richly. Thank you for the good and bad times. In the good times, we enjoyed your blessings and in the bad times, we are reminded of your faithfulness. With all that is happening in the world, you are still God and King enthroned. Thank you for keeping us as a family safe. Abba, you said in your word that we should make intercessions for all men-on that note we are praying for families:

Families that are finding it difficult, please make a way for them. Provide for them, Lord.

Families that are at war with each other, please shower your peace on them. Spirit of the living God, help them love and understand each other. Your desire is for families to be at peace because you said in your word that is beautiful when families dwell together in unity. let your peace reign!

Families battling with a disease, be their Healer. You are Jehovah Rapha please send forth your word and heal them.

Those families in war zones, protect them.

families who are yet to accept to submit to your Lordship, Holy Spirit please convict them. May they know that salvation is found in no one else(but JESUS) for there is no other name given to men by which they must be saved. For those that are afraid to proclaim and confess christ, give them boldness.

For any family out there going through any challenges, please see them through.

Cover us with your blood. May your love be shed abroad in our hearts. This we ask in Jesus’ name.
